HYDERABAD: At a time when YSRC chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was busy levelling corruption allegations against TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the national capital, back home in Hyderabad, Jagan’s one-time chief adviser and veteran politician M V Mysoora Reddy, bid adieu to the young politico by hurling the choicest accusations about his personality and character .
On Wednesday, Mysoora, who had transformed himself from the position of ‘bete noire’ of Jagan’s father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to that of a mentor, preferred to say a final goodbye to his boss after one-year-long dillydallying.
He also likened Jagan’s character to that of an ‘Aparichithudu’, “whose behaviour is unpredictable”.
Mysoora’s decision is not a surprising one for the party as he had been maintaining a distance from it for the past one year. In a four-page letter sent to the YSRC chief through fax, Mysoora, who hails from the same Kadapa district as Jagan, said, “Jagan is a highly inaccessible leader. He is inhumane and money minded. For the sake of power, he creates differences among members of any family and he drives a wedge between siblings.”
“You never consult anybody before taking any decision in the party. You never respect the suggestions of others. You have a fickle mind set. Your personality reminds of me of the character of the protagonist in Telugu movie, Aparichithudu,” he added.
What Widened the Rift
According to sources, Mysoora, a one-time proponent of a separate Rayalaseema state, was upset after Jagan backed the state government’s decision to build the new capital between Vijayawada and Guntur in coastal Andhra. Mysoora firmed up his decision to quit the party after the YSRC chief had reportedly made up his mind to allot the lone seat his party is likely to win in the ensuing polls to four Rajya Sabha seats from AP to V Vijaya Sai Reddy.
