3 Killed in 2 Separate Mishaps in Andhra

GUNTUR: Three persons died and three others were injured in two different road accidents in Guntur district on Wednesday.

In the first incident that took place near a residential school in Achampet mandal headquarters, two persons, Gopi (26) and his mother-in-law Lingamma (48) died on the spot, when the bike they were traveling was knocked down by a truck. Gopi’s wife Anusha, who was also on the bike, suffered severe injuries, and was rushed to government hospital.

Meanwhile, in another accident that occurred near Chilakaluripet bus station, five-year- old Praneeth died on the spot. Praneeth, along with his mother, was going to school on a moped when a lorry hit their two-wheeler, resulting in the death of the boy instantaneously, while his mother Sai and their neighbour’s daughter Sravani suffered injuries.
