HYDERABAD: Building on ‘Brand AP’, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be projecting Andhra Pradesh as an ideal investment destination at ‘Innoprom’, Russia’s largest industrial exhibition, being held at Yekaterinburg in Russia from July 10, in which top industrialists of more than 55 countries will participate.

Naidu and his 12-member team will be leaving for Russia on July 9. Andhra Pradesh has set up a special pavilion at the ‘Innoprom’ exhibition to promote Brand AP.

Giving details of Naidu’s itinerary, communication advisor Parakala Prabhakar said here on Thursday that the chief minister would meet top industrialists of the world and enlighten them on the investment opportunities available in AP.

“The chief minister will inform investors about the advantage of coming to AP and the facilities and incentives being offered by his government to investors,” he said.

According to Prabhakar, the chief minister will take part in panel discussions and  speak on industries, manufacturing and Internet. He will also meet Russian ministers and officials to discuss mutual cooperation.

Before taking part in ‘Innoprom’, Naidu will visit Kazakhstan’s capital Astana and Almaty city to study the architectural marvels of those cities. He will meet Kazakhstan’s defence minister who was mayor of Astana when the modern city was being constructed. The defence minister will be sharing his experience with Naidu on the construction of Astana, which is considered one of the well-planned and beautiful cities in the world. He will also meet Astana’s current mayor.

It was prime minister Narendra Modi who advised Naidu to study the modern architecture of Astana and Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, before constructing the new capital city at Amaravati.
