Builder arrested for land grabbing

VISAKHAPATNAM: PM Palem police arrested a city-based builder and owner of MVV Builders, MVV Satyanarayana, on charges of land grabbing and trespassing, here on Friday.

According to the police, the accused has purchased 38 plots in an approved layout at survey nos 357/1 and 357/2 near YSR cricket stadium Madhurawada zone.

Allegedly, the accused, constructing a gated community adjacent to his lay-outs, took advantage of the fact that the owners of other plots are away from sites,  and encroached into other’s sites by merging the roads. He, reportedly, also leveled the land by removing the layout roads and build a road connecting the highway to his mega project. Jaddu Vishnu Murthy, one of an owner of encroached plots approached the cops and lodged a complaint. The PM Palem police registered a case and are investigating.
