VIJAYAWADA: The second counselling for A category (convener quota) admission for MBBS/BDS seats will be held at NTR University of Health Sciences here from September 24. The counselling procedure will be conducted through web, said NTRUHS vice-chancellor Dr T Ravi Raju.
Speaking to newsmen here on Wednesday, Ravi Raju said that seat allotments will be made to the candidates selected within a day. Simultaneously, the web counselling will take place on Thursday in Telangana, for ‘A’ category admissions. With Medical Council of India giving permission for five new medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, an additional 600 seats will be added in the second phase of counseling for A and B categories, he said.
The vice-chancellor also said that university will convene third counselling for ‘A’ category admissions on September 28, and second counselling for B category admissions will take place on September 29. There will be no second counselling for B category admissions in Telangana, the vice-chancellor clarified. He said admissions for B category seats were conducted as per rules.
