NANDYAL: Kickstarting a no-holds-barred campaign ahead of Nandyal byelection, YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday used choicest epithets to describe chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for what he called his “duplicity, double-dealing and  treachery.’’Addressing a public meeting in sleepy Nandyal town, the Opposition leader in an emotional outburst crossed all limits and said, “A person like Chandrababu Naidu should be shot in public for his double speak and unending deeds of corruption.”
Jagan spent a major part of his address attacking Naidu and trying to remove what he called his “veil of hypocrisy”.

“It was Chandrababu Naidu who pulled the rug from under the feet of his father-in-law NTR and is therefore responsible for his subsequent death, but he doesn’t think twice before using NTR’s photos while campaigning for elections. Naidu who always undermines the cause of Kapus has all of a sudden brought actor Pawan Kalyan onto the scene ahead of the Nandyal,” he said.

Jagan said he was positive that no force could stop YSRC nominee Silpa Mohan Reddy from winning the seat hands down though Naidu and his son Lokesh had made fake promises and issued government orders for works in Nandyal fearing the YSRC. “Tell me if we were not in the contest, would Naidu bother to give a rupee to Nandyal?” he asked.

He went on to allege that Naidu remembered minorities only during elections. He ignores farmers, DWCRA women, and unemployed people throughout his tenure and remembers them only during elections.“This, my brothers and sisters, is Naidu’s real nature,” he said.
He described byelection as a holy war and not just an electoral contest. “It is a war between justice and injustice, this is an election where people will fight against Naidu’s Kaurava Sena. Remember, Naidu is the same person who backstabbed his father- in-law NTR,” he said.
