On the occasion of Ganesh festival, some youngsters from the Warangal city made an idol of the collector holding “baby Ganesha” in her lap. In an attempt to showcase their devotion towards the collector, members of an organisation from Bapuji Nagar of Kazipet prepared an idol of collector carrying ‘baby Ganesha’ on her lap. Later, they tried to install it at the local Ganesh pandal. But due to objection from locals and public outcry on social media, the youth decided against it.

Meanwhile, on receiving information about the idol, Warangal police reached the pandal and stopped the pandal organisers from going ahead with their plans of offering puja to the idol of Amrapali.
Thus, as police also warned the youth against resorting to such act, the youth finally set the idol aside.
