Sudha Murthy appointed TTD board member

TIRUPATI:  Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Narayana Murthy has been appointed as a member of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board.

The AP government issued a GO to this effect on Wednesday under AP Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987.

She was appointed in place of G Sekhar Reddy, who was arrested on the charges of possession of a huge pile of cash, including both the newly-introduced `2000 notes and demonetised currency, gold and fixed assets in Chennai.

Sudha Murthy is a trustee of the Infosys Foundation USA. She holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from IIS, Bangalore. She was an engineer with TELCO which is now known as Tata Motors. Sudha Murty, a writer in Kannada and English has been translated into all major Indian languages. She has been honoured with the Padmsree award by the Indian government.
