Andhra Pradesh: Duo kidnaps woman, force liquor down her throat and rape her in Visakhapatnam

According to sources, the girl is an employee at a star hotel and was on her way home, when the duo approached and ‘kidnapped’ her.

VISAKHAPATNAM: A 25-year-old woman, an intern of a star hotel in Visakhapatnam, was allegedly raped by two youngsters. Though the incident took place on June 4, it came to light on Friday after the girl lodged a complaint.

According to sources, the prime accused, Sridhar is a known person to the victim and a former employee of the same hotel. The other accused has been identified as Vinay.

Sources said that incident took place when the girl was returning home after duty on June 4. The accused allegedly invited her for a party and took her to a room in the star hotel. Police sources said that one room was booked in the name of Sridhar and another room in the name of his friend Vinay. 

“The victim stated that she was forced to consume alcohol and lost her senses. In morning, she realised that she might have been raped and named the two in her complaint,” said the police.

ACP (East) A Narasimha Murthy said a case has been registered under 376(B), 342, 506 of the IPC. A team has been constituted to nab the accused.
