KURNOOL: In a shocking incident, a YSRC party leader and his supporter were hacked to death reportedly by his rivals near Krishnagiri on Sunday morning. The assailants also threw country made bombs at the car.

At around 11:30, when Narayana Reddy, a known faction leader in the district, was returning home from a marriage in Krishnagiri, his car was waylaid by miscreants suspected to be rival followers.

Police rushed to the spot and are taking stock of the situation.

Narayana Reddy used to be in the Congress party and had contested the 2014 elections for Pattikonda constituency against KE Krishnamurthy, but lost. A year ago he joined the YSRC party and was made in charge of Pattikonda constituency.
