VISAKHAPATNAM: Finally, the arrival of Sophia - world’s first humanoid robot - albeit after the scheduled date, has thrilled the delegates and techies present at the Vizag Fintech Festival on Wednesday evening.
On Wednesday, Sophia gave a sudden surprise to the delegates by coming on the stage for five minutes. As the robot was brought all covered and secured on all four sides, everyone was asked to count up to 10 and then Sophia became visible and all present in the festival venue welcomed the robot to Vizag with a huge applause.
Excited people were seen taking selfies and photographs with the humanoid robot.
Originally scheduled to be in the city on Tuesday for an interactive session with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Sophia could not make it due to some technical glitches. Sources said that Sophia would interact with selected people on Thursday and also would have an interaction with the CM through video conference.
