VIJAYAWADA: With the local body elections approaching, Jana Sena Party president and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has constituted a 14-member committee to finalise the party’s guidelines and strategy for the polls, with a focus on incorporating the views of the cadre at the grassroots level.
The committee will formulate the party’s approach to the local body elections by taking into account the political and social conditions prevailing at the field level.
The move comes after Pawan Kalyan, at a recent Jana Sena Legislative Party meeting, called upon the party cadre to prepare for the local body elections while retaining the fighting spirit demonstrated by Jana Sainiks and Veera Mahilas and safeguarding their self-respect and dignity.
The committee comprises Mandali Buddha Prasad, T. Siva Shankar, Kandula Durgesh, Vallabhaneni Balasowry Bolisetti Srinivas, Deva Varaprasad, CH Vamsi Krishna Yadav, Lokam Madhavi, Dharmaraju, Chilakam Madhusudhan Reddy, Kotikalapudi Govinda Rao (Chinababu), Samineni Udayabhanu, Yanamala Bhaskar and Korikana Ravi Kumar.
The panel has been tasked with working out the guidelines to be followed by the party during the local body elections and preparing an effective strategy for the polls.
