VIJAYAWADA: Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu launched a sharp attack on YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging that he was promoting faction politics under the guise of public concern. Addressing the media on Friday, Atchannaidu termed the YSRCP a hatchet party that encourages violence, hatred and revenge politics in society.

He said Jagan’s recent remarks reflected frustration over the rapid development taking place in the state under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The minister alleged that with no major issue to criticise the government on, Jagan had resorted to personal allegations and false propaganda. Comparing Jagan’s behaviour to the character in the movie Aparichitudu, Atchannaidu claimed the former CM was reviving discussions around past political violence.
