NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Education (DoE) has released the academic calendar for the 2026–27 session, announcing that online registration for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will begin in the first week of April. The calendar, applicable to all government and government-aided schools in Delhi, outlines key schedules for admissions, examinations, holidays, and co-curricular activities, ensuring smooth academic functioning and holistic student development.
It also highlights timelines for major competitive exams such as JEE, NEET, CA, and CLAT, with registrations expected in July. Scholarship exams, including the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship and the Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha, are scheduled for August.
A key initiative included is the Mahamana Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Vidya Shakti Mission, approved in December 2025. The scheme provides free coaching, study material, mock tests, and mentoring to government school students preparing for CUET and other national-level entrance exams, along with guidance for admissions and counselling.
The academic session began on April 1. Admissions to Class 11 will start after the declaration of Class 10 results. For Classes 10 and 12 under non-plan admissions, a common admission test will be held on April 25, with results declared on April 28. Meanwhile, non-plan admissions for Classes 6 to 9 will be conducted in three online cycles between April and July. The process will conclude by August 31.
