BELGAUM: Activists of Sri Ram Sene attacked employees of a BPO taking part in a Valentine’s Day party organised by their company here on Saturday evening.

About 20 activists of the Sene, who arrived on two and four-wheelers, attacked Jyoti Tower, where the call centre, Katwa Infotech, is located at Anandnagar in Vadgoan under Shahapur police station limits and damaged tube lights, furniture and computers. About 80 employees were at the party.

Acting on information, Sene activists rushed to the hall where employees, including girls were dancing to music and went on a rampage. It is not known whether the girls were attacked. However, fresh blood stains were found on the floor of the hall.

After the attack, according to eyewitnesses, Sene activists fled the spot raising pro-Hindu slogans.

Sources also said the call centre, soon after Sene activists left, sent the girls to safe places in two and four-wheelers after painting the number plates black. Superintendent of police Sonia Narang said three Sene activists have been arrested.
