BANGALORE: Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Monday said that the matter of his silence on the political developments in the state and his take on the issue of illegal mining shall all be laid bare in the forthcoming session of the state legislature.
His silence now is necessary to take on the opposition in the house, Yeddyurappa told reporters and also noted that there was nothing new about the likely tie-up between the Congress and JD(S) during the forthcoming over local bodies’ polls to the Legislative Council.
The two parties were always in a tie-up; they were in an understanding during the Lok Sabha polls earlier this year too, Yeddyurappa said.
On the Legislative Council polls, the chief minister expressed the confidence that the BJP will gain numbers to target the post of the chairman and the deputy chairman of the council. The two posts are currently with the Congress.
