CM asks for special trains for state Sabarimala

BANGALORE: Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has urged the Union Railway Ministry to run special trains to Sabarimala from Bangalore and Mysore till the end of the on-going festivities at the pilgrimage centre in neighbouring Kerala.

In a letter to Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee, Yeddyurappa has said that a large number of devotees from the state visit the Ayyappa temple during this time of the year and were mainly dependent on taxis or buses to reach Sabarimala.
