BANGALORE: The three persons, including an actress Yamuna, who were arrested for allegedly running a prostitution racket were produced before the magistrate on Friday.

Yamuna, Suraksha and Nandagopal were arrested in ITC Royal Gardenia, a fivestar hotel on Thursday night.

Yamuna, who has acted in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu movies and featured in 'Chinna' and other Kannada movies a decade ago, was remanded to judicial custody while the two others were handed over to the police for further investigation.

Speaking to Express on Friday, City Police Commissioner Shankar M Bidari said the police were working on the case from the past three months. "There is suspicion that more actresses are involved in the racket and the police are investigating," he said.

Meanwhile, the police are verifying the call details of the three persons and some of the phone numbers of actresses were found, a source said. Suraksha is said to be pimp while Nandakumar is the CEO of a private firm.
