Complimenting Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda for his scam-free tenure, former CM and JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy said that no incidents of corruption have happened under his rule.
Giving a clean chit to the CM, Kumaraswamy said that the only thing the current administration lacks shortfall of knowledge.
He was reacting to a question on why he has been keeping mum against Sadananda Gowda but making allegations against his predecessor B S Yeddyurappa, while leaving for the Ranebennur JD(S) convention at the Circuit House here on Sunday.
Refuting senior minister C M Udasi’s allegations that the CM has a soft corner for the JD(S), Kumaraswamy challenged him to prove at least one instance of the same.
“Our family has been unnecessarily dragged into the issue,” he said.
The former CM alleged that illegal works worth over `300 crore were completed in Bangalore and that an MLA has complained to the CM about it. “Udasi is the most corrupt minister; PWD contractors have to cough up `10 lakh as commission for works of `1 crore. To patch up his wrongdoings, Udasi is waging a war against the CM,” he added.
Terming the state BJP led by chief K S Eshwarappa as a broken mirror, he said that all BJP leaders are responsible for the present crisis. All have been treating the change of leadership as child’s play. But the wise voter has been observing all political developments. They will teach a good lesson in the coming elections, he added.
On the government’s second report, he said: “They can send another report on me. I am confident that I will come clean.”
