Spurious fertilisers: One held from TN

Agriculture Minister Krishna Byregowda said the department officials with the help of police have arrested a person from Tamil Nadu for manufacturing and supplying spurious fertilisers in the state.

At the Legislative Assembly here on Monday, Byregowda said that police had arrested one Devaraj and seized his factory at Vediambali in Vellore.

He commended the officials for addressing the problem in a week after complaints of sale of spurious fertilisers were reported at Anbalu Agriculture Producers Society in Hassan and Tumkur districts.
