A Cabinet sub-committee under the chairmanship of CM Siddaramaiah has been set up to clear investment proposals worth more than Rs 250 crore.
This was decided in a Cabinet meeting chaired by the CM here on Thursday. Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T B Jayachandra said the state has been attracting huge investments and it has to provide facilities to the investors. “The CM would clear all project on priority,” he added.
He said the Cabinet also approved certain modification to Service Rules by inserting a clause preventing sexual harassment of women employees at work place. Other important decisions taken by the Cabinet are - to include 110 more services under Sakala scheme, suspension of Mallikarjun, Deputy Controller of Legal Metrology Department for alleged corrupt practices, Cadre and Recruitment rules approved for appointment of non-teaching staff for Drugs Controller Department, launching of ‘104’ health helpline in Hubli, guidelines for Karnataka Viability Gap Fund, implementing Result Frame Document, to withdraw all cases filed against TV journalist Naveen Soorinje, a cameraman of a regional television channel booked in connection with t Mangalore homestay attack.
