KALABURAGI: The BJP has urged the state government to take a decision on renaming Hyderabad-Karnataka as Kalyan Karnataka in the ensuing Cabinet meeting at Kalaburagi.
At a press conference here on Friday, BJP state president Prahlad Joshi said the Cabinet meeting should take a decision to rename the Hyderabad Karnataka Region Development Board as Kalyan Karnataka Region Development Board.
Joshi said before the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should publish a paper giving details on the works done in the region.
The district BJP would stage a peaceful dharna on the day of the Cabinet meeting to put pressure on the government to take up more works in this region.
Meanwhile, former JD(S) MLA Subhash Guttedar officially joined the BJP at a convention in Aland on Friday. ENS
