‘Appointments to Statutory Bodies Soon’

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) would soon start appointing chiefs to various state-owned boards and corporations as the high command has cleared the proposal.

Addressing a meeting of district Congress committee (DCC) presidents and KPCC office-bearers on Thursday, state party president G Parameshwara said the high command has directed the leadership to complete the process by month-end.

The meeting resolved to organise soon a KPCC session on the lines of the AICC session, and invite party president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi to attend it.

It also decided to constitute 25-member booth committees at all block levels.
