Lokayukta Yet to Act on IAS Officer Shamla Iqbal SLP

BENGALURU: For over two months now, Lokayukta authorities have not acted on its legal cell’s advice to file a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the apex court against the High Court’s verdict on acquitting IAS officer Dr Shamla Iqbal.

She was acquitted in a case of granting contract for supplying nutritious food to children. Sources in Lokaykta told Express the legal cell had given its nod to the filing of an SLP on November 6 and this was informed to the state government.
