Complainant accuses PWD Minister' s son of threatening him

MYSURU: The hearing of a case against PWD Minister H C Mahadevappa’s son Sunil Bose who is facing charges of encouraging a Mines and Geology Department official to accept bribe has been posted to August 4.

Complainant Basavaraju accused   Bose of threatening him to withdraw the case and also offering him `10 lakh for an out-of-court settlement.

As Bose and his accomplice Raju did not appear before the Third Additional District Sessions Judge maintaining that the case has also come up before the HC, Judge Sudheendranath directed Bose to appear before him.

Basavaraju’s advocate Lokesh told media that Bose is threatening his client for pursuing the case. “I am getting threat calls for not withdrawing the case. Food and Civil Supplies deputy director K Rameshwarappa has registered two false cases in Lakshmipuram and T Narsipur police stations accusing me of misusing grains meant for PDS,” Basavaraju said.

Basavaraju said he has got anticipatory bail in these cases.
