Debt-ridden Brothers Kill Themselves

KALABURAGI: Two debt-ridden brothers have committed suicide by hanging at Gilki village of Basavakalyan taluk (Bidar) and Belamagi village of Aland taluk in the last 24 hours.

The police said Somanna Pujari (27) and Gundappa Pujari (24) had a land at Gilki village of Basavakalyan taluk.  They borrowed `4 lakh jointly to take up agriculture.  Due to the failure of crops, Sommanna committed suicide by hanging at Gilki village, on Friday. 

After knowing about the incident, his brother Gundappa also committed suicide by hanging in Belamagi village on Saturday.
