Security breach at Belagavi Airport near IAF base

BELAGAVI: A major security breach took place at the Sambra airport near Belagavi when at least 12 people climbed over a 12-ft height and jumped into the airport area at noon today.

The airport is considered a sensitive zone as it is situated adjacent to the Indian Air Force base at Sambra.

Security guards of the Central Industrial Security Force (managed to nab three of the intruders while the rest fled back over the wall.

They are said to be local people.
