BENGALURU: Leveraging the murder of RSS worker R Rudresh in the heart of Bengaluru last week, the Karnataka unit of the BJP is demanding a probe by the National Investigation Agency [NIA) into all previous murders of RSS workers in the state.

BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa said an NIA probe is necessary as the investigative agencies of the state are not trustworthy. "Be it Rudresh, Prashanth Poojary or Raju. Justice has not been done. Karnataka is turning into a state of murders," he said.

Yeddyurappa warned that if no arrests are made in the Rudresh murder case in the next three or four days, his party would call for a bandh in Karnataka.

The state BJP president's demand came at a demonstration held by the party to condemn the Rudresh murder. Similar demos were carried out all over the state.

Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda said jungle raj was prevailing in Karnataka, while former minister Shobha Karandlaje questioned the police delay in arresting the persons behind the murder.

The BJP is vehement that three murders of RSS supporters be investigated:

 1. R Rudresh, murdered in broad daylight near Commercial Street in Bengaluru on Oct. 16.

 2. BJP activist K Raju, murdered on MG Road in Mysurur on March 13, 2016.

3. Prashanth Poojary, a 29-year-old flower vendor, was hacked to death by six men on motorcycles in nearby Moodbidri in
