Karnataka: Private bus catches fire in Koppal, no casualties reported

The bus was moving from Bengaluru to Mundaragi of Gadag district.

KOPPAL: A private bus with eight passengers caught fire in the wee hours of Monday at Halageri village near Koppal but no casualties were reported. .

The bus was moving from Bengaluru to Mundaragi of Gadag district. Loss of life was prevented as fire and emergency personnel swiftly reached the spot, rescued the passengers and doused the fire, said eye witnesses. 

However, the passengers' clothes were burnt in the incident

The incident occurred under Koppal rural police station limits. The cause for the mishap is yet to be ascertained. Alternative arrangements were made for passengers to reach their destination
