BENGALURU: A personal assistant of Trishika Kumari Wadiyar, wife of the titular head of Mysuru Wadiyars Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, approached Cyber Crime police and filed a case against a person who has created her fake Instagram account.

A senior police officer said that the case was filed a week ago by Trishika's personal assistant. In the complaint, she had alleged that requests were being sent to many to follow the Instagram account and photos related to Trishika and palace were being uploaded. "We have asked her to provide some e-documents related to the case for further investigation," he said.

"We do not want to reveal the name of the complainant as it is confidential. A team is working to identify the person who created the account and trace his IP address. Other evidence being collected as part of the investigation" the officer added.

Three days ago, Yaduveer had posted on his Instagram account about the fake account and also gave a statement to the media insisting fans to not follow or send requests to the account. Trishika was not on the social media site, he had added.
