BENGALURU: Finally, two out of the eight universities which were waiting for the appointment of regular Vice-Chancellors (V-C), have now got two permanent VCs. The Governor and Chancellor Vajubhai Vala cleared files appointing VCs for Karnataka Janapada University and Veterinary Sciences University, Bidar. According to sources from Raj Bhavan, an official order will be issued by Thursday morning.
As per the sources, Dr D B Naik, in charge VC of Janapada University, has been appointed as a regular VC. Prof H D Narayan Swamy, a professor in Pathology department at the Veterinary sciences University, Bidar, has been appointed as VC at the same university. Meanwhile, the governor has sent back the file related to appointment of VC for Horticulture University, Shivamogga.
