Scrapping of NEET delayed CET councilling

This year, 3,30,646 students appeared for CET from Karnataka, of whom 3,09,014 appeared for the test that was held at 745 examination centres.

This year, KEA utilised automation technologies like facial recognition and webcasting, which, according to Medical Education Minister and KEA co-chairman Sharan Prakash Patil, left “no scope for irregularities.” “There was hard work, dedication and commitment from the kids, and behind that their parents’ sacrifice and support.

On behalf of the state government, I congratulate them,” said Patil. He also alluded to the cancellation of the NEET, adding that the counselling for CET would start from June 10 for streams other than medical. “NEET exam will be reconducted. Because of the delay, we had to delay the CET counselling a little bit,” Patil said.
