GURUVAYUR: The coveted “Sree Guruvayurappan- Chembai Puraskaram “ for the year will be presented to Mridangam maestro Mavelikkara Velukutty Nair. A committee headed by Pala C K Ramachandran T R Rajamony, N Hari, T R Harry and Shaju Sankar has adjudged Velukutty Nair for the puraskaram. The award comprises of cash 50,001, gold locket of Sree Guruvayurappan weighing 10 grams and Ponnada. The award will be presented to Velukutty Nair at the inaugural session of Chembai Sangeetholsavam on November 24, said Devaswom chairman Thottathil Raveendran and administrator V Rathessan.
