KOLLAM: Kamal C. Chavara, a young writer, has alleged plagiarism against Punathil Kunhabdullah. In a press conference held here on Saturday, Kamal said that the article ‘Marunninte Damshtrakal’, published by Punathil Kunhabdullah in the March 5 issue of Kerala Kaumudi daily, was the ditto of his article ‘Marunnu Chanthayile Guinippannikal’ published in the February issue of Asraya Mathrunadu magazine. Both the articles were about the mafias active in the medical field.

Kamal distributed the copies of his article and the article published by Punathil Kunhabdullah. Most of the sentences and words in Kunhabdullah`s article were the same as in the article published by Kamal.  Kamal, who condemned the act of Kunhabdullah as theft of intellectual property, claimed that he was offered Rs 10,000 by Kunhabdullah for settling the issue when he contacted him.
