KOCHI: The Kochi-based Prathyasha Foundation will organise a state-level meet of physically challenged persons to help them choose a life partner. The programme will offer a platform for these persons as well as their well-wishers to select their life mates.

The foundation has been organising such meets for the past nine years in various parts of the State. “Prathyasha has been working for the physically challenged, who constitute around 10 per cent of the total population in the State. The programme can be attended by all irrespective of caste or religion,” said Simon George, chairman of Prathyasha.

“We’ll provide all participants with the opportunity to interact with one another so that they are able to select a partner who meets their expectations. The earlier such meets have proved beneficial to many,” he added.

This time, those from other states have also registered their names, Simon said. Those who meet their future life partners through the meets will be honoured on the occasion.

Financial aid for education, treatment and self-employment of the physically challenged will be disbursed to the deserving.
