KOLLAM: With the aim of providing legal and financial aid to PDP chairman Abdul Nasser Madani, who has been arrested in connection with the Banglore blast case, to wage legal and political battle, Justice For Madani Forum was constituted under the aegis of various Muslim organisations. Former MP Sebastian Paul has been chosen as the chairman of the Forum.

 The following persons have been chosen as patrons of the Forum. They are T Arif Ali (Ameer, Jama’at-e-Islami, Kerala) P K Koya Moulavi Alkhazimi, A P Abubecker Hazrath, Thodiyur Mohammadkunju Moulavi, Bhasurendrababu, S Balaraman, M S Jayaprakash, GROW Vasu, Neelalohithadasan Nadar, C K Abdul Aziz, K T Jaleel MLA, C R Neelakandan, Fazal Gafoor (MES), Kadakkal Abdul Aziz Moulavi, C K Abdul Kareem, P T A Rahim MLA, P M A Salam MLA, Civic Chandran, Najeeb Moulavi Mampad, Poonthura Siraj, M A Samad, Ismail Khafa, Shukoor Moulavi and B R P Bhaskar.

  K P Mohammed is the working chairman of the Forum. H Shaheer Moulavi is the general convener and Jamal Mohammad is the treasurer.  

 A legal cell has been constituted to conduct the cases against Madani.

 A joint account will be opened to mobilise fund for conducting the case.   Sebastian Paul, K P Mohammed and Soofiya Madani will be the joint account holders. Announcing the decision, working chairman K P Mohammed said that on September 3 they would start mobilising funds from mosques across the State. The office of the Forum will function at Karunagappally. He alleged that moves were on to frame Madani in various blast cases in different parts of the country. He said that it was farce to conduct an identification parade for a person like Madani who had been shown continuously on TV channels.
