The job scandal which has now rocked the state was exposed by the internal Vigilance wing of the Revenue Department. Meanwhile, Vigilance Director K P Somarajan told Express that as soon as the communication from the government regarding the Vigilance probe into the job scam was received, necessary action would be taken.

The Home Minister said that delays in investigation was a major challenge being faced by the VACB. Several persons involved in corruption and escaping from the law owing to the delay. Additional manpower had been provided to the VACB to overcome this to a certain extent, he said.

Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) K Jayakumar, Industries Principal Secretary T Balakrishnan and Vigilance Director K P Somarajan were among those present at the meet.
