KOZHIKODE: REVERBERATING their love for the evergreen singer Mohammed Rafi, the children of Juvenile Home at Vellimadukunnu, clapped their hands when Rafi’s son Mohammed Shahid Rafi sung the songs of Mohammed Rafi. ‘Aajakal tere mere pyaar ke charche har zabaan par,’ ‘baar baar dekho, hazaar baar dekho, bahaaron phool barsaao, meraa mahabuub aayaa hai,’ were received with loud applause by the audience. Muhammed Shahid Rafi, the look-alike son of the great singer, cherished the kids with his songs as well as his way of mingling.

Shahid expressed great joy for being able to sing in Kozhikode, the land that adores the songs of his beloved father. "I am extremely happy to sing in Kozhikode,’’ said a joyous Shahid. The treasure of music was a novel experience for the kids. The melodious voice of Shahid helped him to take the audience down the memory lane. The programme was organised by MES Rafi Academy.
