THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reiterating the Kerala Police stand, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has deposed before the CBI Court here that no ‘VIP’ is involved in the sensational Kiliroor sex scandal, as reported by the media.

“From the investigation I could not find the involvement of persons including the VIP”, said V K Raghukumar, Superintendent of Police, Special Crimes, CBI, here.  

Raghukumar was in charge of the investigation in the Kiliroor sex scandal case  from  March 14, 2005 to October 7, 2005, as CBI

DySP, Special Crimes, Chennai. During the cross-examination by the defence counsel, Raghukumar said that he didnt recieve any statement from  Shari’s mother Sreedevi, that her daughter was ‘raped’ by anyone during the trip to various places along with the accused.

He also confirmed that the accused had met Thomas Chandy MLA, and mediaperson K P Mohanan, with the victim Shari S Nair at a resort in Alappuzha. The court also observed that the CBI investigation couldnt give any new information than the investigation conducted by the Kerala Police in the case.Anil Sreevasthava, director, Central Forensic Scientific Lab, will be examined by the court on December 22, regarding the copper found in the blood of Shari, which had turned fatal to her.
