CHOTTANIKKARA: An ashtamangala thamboola prasnam is being held at the Chottanikkara temple to suggest corrective measures to the bad omens found there.
The rituals began with the rasi pooja at 9.30 am on Thur by thanthri Puliyannoor Aniyan Narayanan Namboothiripad. According to astrologers, the divine power of the deity is strong enough to safeguard the devotees.
The decline in sanctity on the part of the temple staff and devotees is the reason for the recurring bad omens found in the temple, including the death of a cat in the temple well and other untoward incidents.
The astrologers also predicted that there is the likelihood of a death, a fire mishap or a lightning or electrical shock near the temple.
