KOZHIKODE: K A Rauf, brother-in-law of Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty, has gone public with yet another serious allegation that the minister had a role in the Travancore Titanium Products (TTP) and Kerala Metals and Minerals Ltd (KMML) corruption cases.
Rauf also alleged that Public Works Minister V K Ebrahim Kunju and another cabinet minister are involved in the irregularities, and demanded a CBI probe into both the scams.
“There was massive corruption involving crores of rupees in the waste treatment projects in TTP and in KMML,” Rauf said at a press conference here on Sunday. “Though Kunhalikutty was not a minister at the time of the advance payment, he took all the crucial decisions about these projects,” he added.
“Kunhalikutty had appointed an NRI named Rajeev to carry out the waste treatment projects at both the companies. Money transactions took place abroad and Kunhalikutty’s nephew accepted the money on his behalf in Dubai. Only a CBI probe will bring out all the details of the fraud.” Rajeev appointed one Rajendran in KMML and Eappen in TTP as MDs. He often interacted with these MDs and chalked out plans for corruption at the board meetings as per the directions of Kunhalikutty.
Ebrahim Kunju had held talks with Rajeev during his Gulf tour and the details of this tour would be available from their passport details. There is also proof for the phone conversations between Kunhalikutty and the MDs on various occasions, added Rauf. On the allegation raised by Thomas Isaac MLA that Rauf and Chakku Radhakrishnan were involved in the TTP scam, he said it was not him but Rajeev who was associated with Radhakrishnan.
“I am ready to share all the details about the corruption cases with the CBI,” he added.
