KOCHI: A new polyclinic for the Armed Forces veterans will be inaugurated in Muvattupuzha by Excise Minister K Babu at 4 pm on Monday.

Commodore M R Ajayakumar, Naval Officer in Charge, Kerala, will attend the function.

The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) clinic will cater to the ex-servicemen community of nearby areas, who had to travel to Ernakulam for treatment.

The new polyclinic is the second ECHS clinic under the Southern Naval Command.

The first is at INHS Sanjivani, Naval Base, Kochi.

One more ECHS will be inaugurated shortly at Painaavu in Idukki district.

The clinic in Muvattupuzha will be functional from Tuesday.
