In a bid to increase revenue and provide better facilities to passengers, KSRTC will be running inter-district low-floor AC buses from Monday.
According to a KSRTC statement, the low-floor AC buses will run from Thiruvananthapum to Ernakulam and from Ernakulam to Kozhikode, Nilambur, Pala, Kottayam and Thodupuzha. The buses from Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam through Kollam and Alappuzha will depart from the respective places at 5.30 am, 11.30 am and 5.30 pm.
The departure timings of buses from Ernakulam and Kozhikode are 5.30 am, 11.30 a.m and 5.15 pm from the respective places.
The buses plying from Ernakulam and Nilambur (through Thrissur, Shoranur and Perinthalmanna) will depart at 6 am, 11.30 am and 5.30 pm from the respective centres. The departure timings of buses from Ernakulam to Kottayam are 6.30 am, 10.40 am and 3.20 pm. From Kottayam to Ernakulam, the timings are 8.30 am, 1.20 pm and 5.20 pm. The buses from Ernakulam to Pala will depart at 6.15 am, 10.30 am and 5.10 pm. The buses will depart from Ernakulam to Thodupuzha at 7.25 am and 5.25 pm and from Thodupuzha to Ernakulam at 10.15 am and 8 pm respectively.
