Organ donation mission launched

Rev Dr Paul Madan, the director of Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly, has announced solidarity with Fr David Chiramel in his mission to propagate the importance of organ donation.

He said that the employees and the students will join the movement, signing the necessary agreements for donating their organs.

Fr Madan inaugurated the programme by receiving the first agreement from hospital administrator P V Thomas.

Signed agreement papers for organ donation were also received from over 25 treatment departments, affiliating units, nursing school and college, LF Institute of Allied Health Sciences, LF Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, from their respective heads.

Mission district coordinator Saju Chacko, local coordinator N V Paulachan, Y’s Men’s Club president Danty Jose, LF office superintendent K P Jose and personnel officer A D Wilson attended the function.

LF Hospital has planned to induce at least 5,000 persons for donating their organs through a wide propaganda arranged through various internal and supporting organisations
