Ayurveda PG Courses at Amritapuri

New post-graduate courses at Amrita School of Ayurveda (ASA) were inaugurated on the Amritapuri campus on Saturday. Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri inaugurated the courses.

In his benedictory address, he said that service to humanity should be the ultimate aim of every student.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Vice- Chancellor Venkat Rangan presided over the inaugural function.

Medical Director of ASA Shankar Chaithanya welcomed the gathering.

Ayurveda School souvenir and the Amrita Life calendar were released on the occasion by Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri.

Sivadas T, Director of Ayurveda Medical Education, in his address said that Amrita School of Ayurveda is well-equipped to spread the essence of Ayurveda to the world at large on account of its value-based approach. He called on students to work hard as there are no short cuts to success.

Amrita University has been offering bachelor’s programmes since its inception in 2004.

The school has commenced nine new PG programmes for which Amrita University has received permission from Ayush, the nodal regulatory body of the Central Government.

Mattakkara Ramachandran Nair, Prem Nair, Saabu and the Principal of the School M R Vasudevan Nampoothiri were also present.
