NSS to maintain its tough stance

Express News Service

The leadership meeting of the Nair Service Society (NSS) held at the NSS headquarters at Perunna on Thursday unanimously decided to maintain the tough stance taken towards the UDF Government.

The meeting was attended by the members of the director board, taluk union presidents, vice-presidents and secretaries. The meeting also discussed the follow-up incidents of the election agreement, which was reportedly made between the NSS and the Congress leadership.

The meeting endorsed the decision of NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair that all members of the organisation should relinquish the posts and positions awarded to the NSS by the UDF Government if not the NSS membership.

It also decided to break all cooperation with the Congress in the wake of the Congress acting against the understanding made with NSS. As the Congress high command has not taken any step to correct the state leadership, no talks will be held with the Congress, the committee decided.
