Express News Service

KSRTC chairman and managing director K G Mohanlal has said the Corporation has sufficient fuel stocks for normal operation of its schedules.

“A section of the media had reported that the Corporation would resort to mass cancellation of schedules from Monday owing to fuel shortage. The reports are baseless,” he said in a statement here on Sunday.

“On Sept 22, 4,880 schedules were operated and no service was cancelled. The KSRTC has made all arrangements to run additional services to cater to the heavy rush after Onam holidays,” he said. KSRTC had a stock of 7,84,676 l of diesel in its 62 depots as on Sept 22, whereas the consumption was only 4,20,148 l.
