Fayaz T K, who is in Judicial custody on charges of smuggling gold, has friends in the Police and Mollywood circles, if one were to go by evidences present on social media networks.
An indisputable evidence concerning his connection with Mollywood is his presence in a song sequence in ‘Sringaravelan’, the Dileep-starrer released during Onam.
In the scene, Fayaz slaps Dileep, who is accompanied by an actress, for kicking a soft drink can onto the forehead of the former.
According to sources, he was accommodated as a quid pro quo measure for letting the filmmakers use his luxury car in the scene. It is alleged that Fayaz had been using people in the film industry to smuggle gold from the Gulf.
If one were to check Fayaz’s profile on Facebook, one can find in his friends’ list Abdul Khader, a DySP with the Kochi unit of the National Investigative Agency (NIA). Khader now leads the investigation into the Narath case, involving 24 activists of the Popular front of India.
Fayaz is a Facebook friend of film stars including Asif Ali, Sruthi Hassan and Jyothirmayi.
Of late, many have ‘un-friending’ Fayaz on Facebook, thanks to his name become infamous in connection with the gold-smuggling case.
