Boy Killed as Lightning Struck in Kadakkal

A 14-year-old boy was killed and five others were seriously injured in various incidents of lightning strike at Kadakkal in the district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Ambareesh of Kumbalam, Kadakkal.

According to eyewitnesses, Ambareesh was standing outside his house when the lightning struck, killing him on the spot. In another incident in Kumbalam, Thulasi, 55, was injured in lightning strike. Lini, 40, of Paravila Veedu, Madathara, Kadakkal; Aneesh, 10, of Attupuram; Liji, 25, of Vellavattam, Udayagiri and Usha Kumari, 47, of Soorya Bhavan, Akappuram are the others injured.
