GKSF Registration Begins Today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The registration process for merchant establishments across the state to participate in the eighth edition of the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF), to be organised by the Tourism Department from December 1 to January 15, will commence on Friday.

All arrangements have been made to start this year’s registration processes for the eight edition of the shopping festival, said GKSF director K M Muhammed Anil on Thursday.

Special Kudumbashree squads formed by district Kudumbashree Missions and functioning under the supervision of local self-government bodies will carry out the registrations in all 14 districts across the state.

Registration is open in two categories - premium and general. With premium registration that will cost `20,000, the shops will be provided with 300 coupons worth `15 each, a welcome arch and other promotional materials while with a general registration, the merchants will receive 100 coupons of `15 each.

The registration will be done with the help of a software developed by C-DIT which will also enable SMS notifications for the merchants.
